Bauple
Bauple, 30 km south of Maryborough and 40 km North of Gympie is the home of the Bauple Nut.

With a landscape dominated by Mount Bauple, the primary industry of the district is Sugar Cane. There is no longer a sugar mill in Bauple, in 1950 the Mt Bauple sugar mill closed. Some remains are still visible in Mill Street near the QCWA clubhouse.
A tourist drive leaves the Bruce Highway and goes though Bauple, returning to the Bruce Highway. On this drive you can purchase macadamia products at Macadamia House or visit the Mt Bauple Museum in the centre of town where you can discover more about the pioneers who settled the area and see a treasure trove of memorabilia.
Mount Bauple was a place of aboriginal importance, and while Mount Bauple National Park is currently closed to the public, the Park is accessible for scientific study.
Bauple hosts an annual Bauple Nut Fest in November and visitors are ensured of a great day out.
