Hervey Bay Art Regional Gallery

Experience the richness of its artistic community and a free feast of visual arts for all ages at the region’s cultural heart, the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery. The Gallery, operated by Fraser Coast Regional Council, provides a feast of visual arts experiences for all ages.

Discover the creative talents of our own region’s artists as well as enjoying amazing artworks and artefacts in high-quality, touring exhibitions from state and national galleries and museums. An exciting array of public programs, from bus tours to artist’s talks, workshops to children’s art trails and activities, are also offered throughout the year.

The gallery’s 2010 program of exhibitions offers a dynamic and exciting mix of subjects, media and styles. In the first half of 2010, the exhibition program will include contemporary craft, paintings and a beautiful showcase of quilting.  

For something different and interesting, enjoy a stroll through the air-conditioned comfort of the Regional Gallery at 161 Old Maryborough Road, Pialba.  trained and friendly volunteers are on hand to welcome you and answer any queries. Gatakers Art Space

Maryborough’s Art Gallery building has undergone a major redevelopment, transforming the heritage listed warehouse gallery into the Gatakers Artspace. This community arts and cultural hub caters for a broad range of creative activities, including visual arts, performers, musicians, writers, photographic groups, dance,
community groups, workshop facilities and school based arts activities.

There are touring exhibitions and a permanent rotating exhibition of Council’s art collection. Admission is free.
Outside the Artspace is the Portside Passage – a landscaped lane with works of art reflecting the area’s rich history and providing a delightful link between the heritage precinct of Wharf Street and the CBD. Gatakers Artspace is at
102 Wharf Street, Maryborough.

 

Maryborough Art Society Gallery

Maryborough's artistic community displays its many talents at the 282 Kent Street, Maryborough (former Winter Garden Theatre).  The Maryborough Art Society exhibits arts, crafts and works by local artists in a series of changing displays along with exhibitions by travelling artists.   www.maryboroughart.com

Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre

  • PACKED FULL OF ART, entertainment and fun, the Tiaro District Arts And Craft Festival is held early August at the Tiaro Memorial Hall & Community Centre. It is three days of markets, music, dance and exhibits.
